“We are excited to see the demanding work and commitment of our team recognized,” said David Corrigan, President of Corrigan Moving. “We know everything our branches and employees do everyday to make our organization successful; it’s terrific to see that dedication celebrated. We have the most special group of employees at Corrigan, having that highlighted at this honors presentation makes me very proud.”
The yearly Unigroup Learning Conference reverted to an in-person affair this year. Hosted near the Unigroup headquarters in St. Louis, MO, the conference is attended by several members from varying United and Mayflower locations throughout the U.S.. After 3 days of events consisting of classes and meetings, the event always concludes with an award ceremony.
“I don’t remember the last conference we didn’t win an award of some kind,” said Kirk Hensler, Vice President of Operations. “That speaks to the level of reliable excellence of our drivers, move crews and office staff. It’s great to never leave here unacknowledged.”
Although many of Corrigan’s locations earned top awards, a few of Corrigan’s specific teammates took home awards in their specific departments. For the second year running, Cassandra McCann from the Grand Rapids, MI office received the Heart of Quality award. This award is presented only to the highest tier of relocation coordinators in the Unigroup system. To be eligible to win this honor, relocation coordinators are required to have sterling customer feedback scores and fulfilled ongoing annual training.
“We’ve had several move coordinators earn this accolade, and we’re so proud of Cassandra for winning two years back to back. She goes over and above for her clients. They recognize how much she handles, we recognize it, and now she has another award to incorporate in to her collection,” said David Corrigan.
Myron Luikart works in Corrigan’s specialty Logistics division, working mainly on large scale projects. “Receiving 2 Masters Club Inner Circle honors in the same year is not easy to pull off, but he did it. If anyone needs to discover a way to a task completed, it’s Myron. He delivers remarkable experience to our organization and his clients. He manages some of our largest-scale projects and conducts them all with tremendous attentiveness. He’s absolutely valuable for us, we’re glad he got some recognition today,” said Kirk Hensler.
As well as to Luikart’s accomplishments, several members of Corrigan’s sales division were welcomed into United’s elite Million Dollar Club for their incredible sales capabilities. These individuals demonstrate an excellent devotion to excellence in annual serviced linehaul profit. Recognized were, Brandon Becker, Ann Arbor, MI branch, Tim Carney, Cleveland, OH branch, Rob Galardi, Rochester, NY branch, Craig James, Auburn Hills, MI location and Mike Sparks, Buffalo, NY location. “Each of these individuals have gone above and beyond in sales and certainly proven a dedication to serving our customers,” stated David Corrigan. “We are grateful to have all of them on our team.”
Three Corrigan offices won the Customer Excellence accolade, a distinguished honor showcasing the devotion to client satisfaction. When their move is finished, clients are asked to grade numerous stages of their relocation. This includes the first quotation process, their relocation coordinator, packing, loading and delivery process. Each office corresponds to a various size category, depending on how many moves they handle yearly. In order to win, each office needs to have the highest evaluation score in their size category, in addition to meeting or exceeding the principles set for claims (number of damage noted during a relocation), safety and certified labor.
“This is not an easy accolade to win. Standards are very high, and you have to be close to perfect in each category. To have 3 offices win for their particular size categories once again spotlights the honor we take in providing top quality to our clients,” said David Corrigan.
Lastly, the Cleveland office was acknowledged with the Centers Network Performance honor. This accolade pertains to the Snap Move Container Program, where a customer employs our movers to load, transport and deliver their goods inside wooden vaults. This service can accelerate service for small shipments, compared to standard in-van moving options. The vaults are sent to the nearest United agent to where the client is relocating, who then helps with delivering the contents of those containers.
“The Centers Network Performance honor is only presented to 2 agents. One recipient is for locations that manage 0 to 200 containers, and the second winner is for more than 200 containers,” said Kirk Hensler. “Corrigan Cleveland won the Centers Network Performance award for 0-200 containers. They were greatest of 94 agents. Criteria that are reviewed are claims, efficiency in getting the containers prepped for pick up, efficiency in delivering inbound vaults, and customer satisfaction.”
“It was fantastic to return to in person this year,” said David Corrigan, recapping the event. “It’s been a challenging couple of years managing the pandemic and now employment shortages. Spending time with our fellow agents and seeing how they’re working through problems gives us new ideas to bring home. Many of these agencies are facing the same struggles we are and it’s a terrific way to learn from others, help each other and continue to support beneficial connections with our agents. We rely on them to help our customers in states we don’t have a Corrigan office. They understand they can always depend on Corrigan to deliver top level service for each of their clients, as well. Overall, this was a very effective event and I couldn’t be more honored of how Corrigan Moving was depicted and awarded.”
